Strictly’s Fleur East says she’s BANNED talking about show at home with her husband

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Fleur East has revealed she and husband Marcel Badiane-Robin have banned talking about the show at home.

The loved-up couple, who wed in a secret ceremony in Morocco in 2019, have embraced the whole Strictly experience, but are trying to distance themselves from it on cosy nights in.

Supportive Marcel has been cheering his wife on from the studio sidelines each week, and on last night’s results show host Claudia Winkleman said to Fleur: “Your husband was in the audience on Saturday night. He’s so supportive, he’s got your back, but you two try really hard not to talk about Strictly all the time, is that right?”

The X Factor star, 34, replied: “That’s right. We try, we sit up all night and talk about Strictly and then I go ‘lets spend ten minutes not talking about it’, and then two minutes later, we’re back talking about it.”

The radio DJ previously admitted Marcel has no problem watching her get up close and personal with dance partner Vito Coppola.

In fact, he loves watching her “hot and steamy” performances.

And it doesn’t get any hotter than her Argentine Tango, which scored a sizzling 38 points.

“It’s very hot and steamy and obviously it’s really hard to get into the mode of that,” Fleur said on her Hits Radio Breakfast Show.

“It’s quite awkward when you’re in rehearsals; it’s like ‘this is weird’ but we both said we need to do one where we fully go for it, and we commit to that passion and that emotion.

“So we went for it – and it was quite intense – and my husband Marcel was there watching and at the end of the dance he went ‘hmmm… More!’ I was like ‘What? Are you sure?!’

“He said you need to commit to this and you need to give it 100%.”

Last week, Fleur’s dance partner Vito revealed his excitement about the passionate tango.

He said: “This dance it’s about fire and it’s about passion. Until now we’ve done more ballroom, except for the first week, so now we can finally get more into our mood, more hot.”

He added that the Sax singer had nothing to worry about despite being in the dreaded dance off last weekend.

“For me there’s no added pressure – in Italy we say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” the ballroom dancer said.

“So, we are strong and I’m so positive because I’m sure about Fleur.

“Now we are starting to get into the real heart of the programme, and we have so many styles to do yet, so to have the possibility to share this tango with everyone is amazing.”
