STRICTLY Come Dancing stars Gorka Marquez and Katie McGlynn have wowed their fellow dancers in a first glimpse at their tango.
The duo were seen in behind-the-scenes rehearsals in a new clip posted to social media by professional dancer Gorka, 31.
Tonight, Gorka and Coronation Street actress Katie, 28, will take to the floor for the first time as the BBC One ballroom competition kicks off.
But the pair couldn’t help but give fans and their fellow dancers a sneak peek at their routine in a dramatic video of their tango.
The clip sees Gorka and Katie swanning across the floor in their traning gear – looking hot and sweaty as they rehearse the dance.
An exhausted-looking Katie can be seen having a moment away from the floor before returning to spin round with her pro dance partner.
She places her hands round his face in one sultry move, while another sees them engage in a dramatic embrace before throwing each other away.
Gorka posted the video alongside a caption telling his 656,000 followers of his excitement ahead of the “first dance on the Strictly floor”.
“All the work is done now is time to enjoy our first dance on the Strictly floor,” he wrote. “I am so amazed by your work ethic and your commitment to give it all.”
“If you achieve what you did with no experience and no hours to train can’t wait to see the rest,” he concluded of the dancing teaser.
Fans and fellow dancers alike flooded the comment section to share their love for the dance as they told the pair they were “looking good”.
Gorka’s wife and former Strictly celebrity Gemma Atkinson wrote: “Cmon!” alongside a series of clapping and fire emojis.
While dancer Kauren Hauer added: “Love this! Bring it!” with Janette Manrara chiming in: “Looking good!”
Fellow professional Cameron Lombard – who is new to the Stirctly team this year – concluded with a series of flame emojis.
Earlier today, Katie promised to bring the sex appeal as she prepared to make her Strictly Come Dancing debut tonight.
Katie, 28, told The Celeb Report’s TV magazine she felt she could ‘be herself’ with Gorka within hours of meeting him, which will come in handy when they have to pull off some sexy dance moves.
“That’s the best way to be with that kind of stuff. I know it’s not exactly the same, but because I’m an actress, I have to kiss people a lot… well not a lot,” she started, as Gorka declared, “you don’t kiss in dancing.”
Katie quickly replied, laughing: “No I know. But I’m used to being in awkward situations and I’m not awkward, I’m really chilled with stuff like that.
“So we’ll just ramp it up and then when we get off probably laugh.”
Gorka added the steamy dances should be a breeze for the Hollyoaks star because it’s all acting.
“When people go, ‘How can you dance so close with someone?’ and I’m thinking, well it’s like actors when they have to do a love scene or a kissing scene or even an X-rated scene,” he explained.
“It’s all pretending. Sometimes it doesn’t look like that, it’s the way they have the camera.”
The Celeb Report exclusively revealed in June that Katie had joined Hollyoaks – 18 months after leaving the cobbles of Weatherfield.
The TV star, who played tragic Sinead Tinker on the ITV drama, joined Channel 4’s Hollyoaks as yummy-mummy Becky in July.
Fans of Hollyoaks watched her character befriend fellow parent Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher), the wife of Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), when she first appeared in Chester – but had an ulterior motive.
And the motive goes way beyond providing moral support and sharing experiences of motherhood.
She will be travelling between Hollyoaks’ Manchester set and Blackpool where Strictly is filmed.
Gorka will “follow her around” to make sure they get as much rehearsal time in.
Katie admitted: “It’s been really tough filming Hollyoaks up north and training for Strictly back to back I won’t lie, but I’m loving every single second of this crazy experience and I’m so grateful for all of the support I’ve had, it means the world.”
Becky is a much darker role for Katie, who ditched her striking blonde locks to become a brunette for her character’s arrival.
Strictly Come Dancing returned to screens last weekend for its 19th series with some of the biggest names in television.
Fans patiently waited to find out which stars are taking the cha-cha-chance to learn how to dance alongside Katie and Gorka.
This series is set to be a cracker as actor Robert Webb, presenter AJ Odudu, McFly’s Tom Fletcher, actress Nina Wadia, The Crown’s Greg Wise, Tilly Ramsay, comedian Judi Love and Olympian Adam Peaty vie for the glitterball.
Other stars taking to the dancefloor include broadcaster Dan Walker, GBBO star John Whaite, EastEnders’ Rose Ayling-Ellis, CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson, Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies and former rugby player Ugo Monye.
