Oti joined Strictly in 2015. She reached the final the following year with Hollyoaks star Danny Mac

Motsi, 41, also exposed the mistake when she liked a series of tweets today.

One said: “Is it me or did This Morning just run an ad on ITV with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby saying Motsi Mabuse would be on tomorrow but showing a photo of Oti? Cringeworthy if so.”

Another said: “@thismorning, just seen an advert for tomorrow’s show saying @MOTSI_MABUSE is a guest, whilst showing a picture of Oti instead! Give your heads a wobble will you!!!”

“Please tell how and why this has happened once again.”

ITV have been approached for comment.

Motsi will return to screens when the new series launches on September 17 alongside head judge Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, and Anton Du Beke becoming a regular fixture on the judging panel following Bruno Tonioli’s exit.

She admitted she is “sad” her sister Oti will not be a professional dancer in the 2022 series but said she will remain on the judging panel for as long as they want her.

The South African-born dancers appeared together on the BBC dance competition for a number of years after Motsi joined in 2019, but in February Oti announced she was leaving the show after seven years.

Speaking to Prima magazine Motsi confirmed she had no plans to exit the show any time soon.

She said: “I’ll be sad not to see her on Strictly this year.

“I’ll always worry about my sister, but I have to respect her decision and let her go. She’s proven that she can more than protect herself and push herself to new heights.
