1. Pretty Woman (26%): A prostitute, played by Julia Roberts, and a wealthy businessman (Richard Gere) fall in love. The 1990 film is the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time, grossing £342million.
2. Bridget Jones’s Diary (21%): Renee Zellweger is the lovably neurotic singleton who has Colin Firth and Hugh Grant brawling in the street for her attention. Based on Helen Fielding’s novels, Bridget’s 2001 movie debut spawned two sequels.
3. Notting Hill (19%): Romcom veterans Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts joined forces in this 1999 movie about a bumbling bookshop owner who falls in love with a world-famous actress.
4. Four Weddings And A Funeral (19%): Hugh Grant is bachelor Charles, who falls more in love with Andie MacDowell’s character at each of the five social events in the film’s title.
5. Groundhog Day (15%): Bill Murray as weatherman Phil relives the same day in this 1993 cult favourite. Audiences were charmed by his romance with Rita, played by Andie MacDowell.
6. The Holiday (15%): Released in 2006, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz play two women from opposite sides of the Atlantic who swap homes over Christmas – then end up falling for local blokes.
7. Sleepless In Seattle (13%): Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan star in this 1993 classic about a widower whose young son calls a radio talk show to help him find a new companion.
8. When Harry Met Sally (12%): Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal end up more than just pals. Features THAT fake orgasm – still famous 33 years on.
9. 10 Things I Hate About You (10%): A 1999 teen comedy based on Shakespeare’s The Taming Of The Shrew. Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) pays the mysterious Patrick (the late Heath Ledger) to charm Kat (Julia Stiles) so he can take out her younger sister.
10. My Big Fat Greek Wedding (9%): This 2002 comedy is about a woman who must persuade her traditional Greek family to accept her lover.

1. “No kissing” rule broken in Pretty Woman (20%): Call girl Vivian (Julia Roberts) insists she doesn’t kiss clients as it’s “too personal” – but that changes when she develops feelings for Edward (Richard Gere).
2. “Oh yes they f***ing do”, from Bridget Jones’s Diary (20%): Everyone was cheering as Bridget ran through the snow in her big knickers, launching herself at Colin Firth at the end of the film.
3. “Is it still raining? I hadn’t noticed” from Four Weddings And A Funeral (15%): As cheesy as it is iconic, Andie MacDowell kisses Hugh Grant as the pair get soaked.
4. The paintball kiss in 10 Things I Hate About You (9%): Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger, as Kat and Patrick, smooch while covered in paint.
