Susanna, 52, worried a string of errors on screen had made the show “look stupid”.

However the star was full of praise as their viewing figures were released at the end of a tough week.

She penned on Twitter today: “MOMENT OF JOY! @1judilove is a superstar and one of the most watched interviews on yesterday’s @gmb programme.

“Highest Thursday audience since June 2021. Our year to date ratings are averaging 22.9% share, up 2.5 share points and our numbers are heading upwards by + 7%.”

Susanna ended on a jubilant note, writing: “Congrats Team @gmb.”

Her fans were glad to hear of their successes, and one replied, “Fab! Great news, well deserved”

The ITV breakfast show aired a number of blunders last week, including Laura Tobin going missing from her weather slot.

Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway took over lead presenter duties on Friday and were left hanging on air when they handed over to Laura, who was presenting on location from Kew Gardens and was nowhere to be seen.

Susanna also fumed when she realised the date shown on screen was wrong earlier in the week.

And she lost patience again when the name of news correspondent Ben Chapman was misspelt as he reported from the war in Ukraine.

A source said: “She made her feelings very clear, angrily shouting that the mistakes made her and the whole show look stupid — as she stormed off camera and confronted production staff.”

Producers have been trying to rebuild the team since Susanna’s co-host Piers Morgan, 57, left the show in March 2021.

It has left her feeling more responsibility for the show’s content, according to insiders.

On-screen graphics are usually prepared the night before the show goes out and supposedly checked before making it to air.

Susanna’s outbursts over the errors have prompted several emails from bosses to staff.

The insider added: “Susanna is totally professional and just wants high standards — as Piers or any other presenter would have done.

“The last thing anyone wants is her walking away in anger.”

Susanna has been presenting the show with guest co-hosts, including Richard Madeley.
