TEEN Mom star Amber Portwood shares a cryptic quote about “growth” after the reality star had a nasty reunion fight with her ex Gary Shirley and stormed off the stage.
Amber, 31, posted a message about having a “positive mindset” to her followers on Instagram.
The inspirational quote mentioned how growth could be “uncomfortable” and “messy.”
The text continued about how growth happened to be “full of feelings you weren’t expecting.”
The quote concluded that improvement is “necessary.”
The Teen Mom OG star captioned the post: “File this under things I talk about with my therapist.”
THE REUNION
At the beginning of December, Amber stormed off the stage during her reunion with her ex Gary, 35.
During the first part of the Teen Mom OG reunion, Amber and Gary sat down with Dr. Drew Pinsky.
The former couple discussed how going to therapy together might have improved their strained relationship.
At first, Amber appeared to be in good spirits throughout the segment.
THEIR DAUGHTER
Her mood quickly changed and shifted when Gary revealed that Leah is in therapy.
Gary said: “She is speaking to somebody, a professional.
“You probably didn’t know this. Per Leah’s request, she didn’t want it to be talked about. I have permission to talk about it and make it known.”
The MTV star continued: “Part of Leah going is she didn’t want anybody knowing to start off. I supported that.
“They are working on different things that she can do to help the communication start between her and her mom.”
Amber and Gary share their 12-year-old daughter Leah.
The preteen lives with Gary and his wife Kristina full time.
The MTV mom is occasionally able to visit their daughter.
‘NOT AN ADULT’
After Gary revealed that Leah has been in therapy, Amber made her point clear that the information given was something that she should have known.
She said: “Here’s the thing. I’m the mother.
“I need to understand what Leah is going through so I believe the communication should be there for that.
She continued: “I also think that Leah is a child. She is not an adult. She doesn’t need to say anything, but you can tell me.”
After she called out Gary for “blindsiding” her, Amber ranted: “You came out here with some bull crap. I just found out on camera, of course. Everything that you do is for television. Done!
“Everything that he does is for television. I’m out. Bye!”
Amber left the room as she called her ex “garbage.”
The TV personality then vented to a producer: “He can keep making his money off of me.
She concluded: “This is ridiculous…I’m done.”
