Teen Mom star Ashley Jones’ baby daddy Bar posted the fake pregnancy announcement on Instagram

Bariki, 24, used a photo of a baby scan as he told fans about the “surprise,” tagging his soon-to-be wife and the mom of one.

“Just practicing IDK who’s baby this is,” he wrote in small text on the corner of the post, revealing it had been a joke for April Fools Day.

However, fans did not see the funny side and immediately took to the comments to slam Bar for being “childish” and “disrespectful.”

One angry followers wrote: “I wish grown a** people would stop doing this childish a** prank. Not something to joke about.”

Followers slammed the reality star for being “insensitive”

Another added: “Typical insensitive trash behaviour,” as a third chimed in:
“Funny. It’s not like people in real life can’t have kids or anything.”

An angry mom wrote: “One in four women have trouble getting pregnant, this isn’t something you joke about, it’s f***ed up. And you want to be a role model for teen mothers. Disgraceful.”

“Disrespectful,” another said, adding, “This is not a funny joke. It’s callous, harmful and isolating to anyone who has lost a child.”

One simply said they would be unfollowing Bar and Ashley for the April Fools prank, saying: “You are stupid as f***. Unfollowing.”

Bar went on to delete the post from his feed, after it racked up hundreds of irate comments from his following.

It comes after the star slammed MTV for not recognizing him as an “important figure” in a heated Twitter rant.

The reality figure lashed out against the network after they shared a “surprise” teaser for the new season.

The official Teen Mom Instagram tweeted: “Surprise! @_mermaidbarbie is officially joining the #TeenMom2 family.

Bar recently slammed MTV for not recognising him as “important”

“Here is the most special look at what’s to come for her next season!”

Bariki took the announcement as a personal attack, as he quickly replied to scold MTV for not mentioning him in the blurb.

“Y’all gone get enough of not acknowledging me as a father and important figure on this show blood,” he wrote, finishing his statement off with the middle finger emoji.

Previously Ashley shared the exciting news that she would be replacing Chelsea Houska on Teen Mom 2 for the next season.

In a promotional preview post, the young mom share her “excitement” over her new role.

“I’m so excited to join Teen Mom 2. I can’t give too much away but check out this ‘OMG’ moment from the upcoming premiere,” she gushed, as a video teaser appeared on the screen.

The announcement then debuted an emotional scene where Bariki got down on one knee and proposed to the mother of his child.

The network captioned the share: “Ashley Joins Teen Mom 2!

Ashley and Bariki have one child together, Holly, who is now 3-years-old.

The mom of one will rejoin her ex-cast mate Jade Cline along with Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Briana DeJesus on the series.

During the December 2019 Young & Pregnant reunion, Ashley got into an altercation with Jade over her eligibility to join the Teen Mom cast.

“You accuse me of lying about being on Teen Mom 2!” she yelled at the brunette, who replaced Jenelle Evans for season nine.

“I didn’t lie about it. I was actually asked if I wanted to go. I said I would rather stay with YP.

“I was more than supportive of your move to Teen Mom 2 until you said what you said. I felt shaded by that because first of all, I don’t have to lie.”

Ashley will be replacing Chelsea, who decided along with her husband Cole DeBoer that it was time to leave the show in November of 2020.
