TEEN Mom Ashley Jones revealed that she was secretly in a relationship with a woman for four years before she met Bar Smith.
The MTV star opened up to fans about her dating history in an Instagram Q&A over the weekend.
In response to one fan asking if she “likes girls” and has “ever been with a girl,” Ashley got vulnerable with her followers replying: “I was with a girl for four years.”
The confession came as a shock to Teen Mom 2 viewers who’ve watched her relationship with Bar play out on screen.
The rapper popped the question last November with a sparkling diamond ring, which Ashley showed off on Instagram.
Although the two have had a rocky relationship over the years, Ashley recently praised Bar for getting his act together following years of trouble with the law.
The young dad is currently in school to become a vet tech and undergoing gruesome laser treatments to remove his facial tattoos.
The pair also share three-year-old daughter Holly together.
But Ashley is not the only Teen Mom star to get honest about her sexuality.
SECRET ADMISSION
Last month, Amber Portwood admitted she’s “been bisexual” on an episode of Teen Mom OG.
The reality TV favorite made the admission to her mom Tonya as they FaceTimed one another.
“I have been bisexual,” she disclosed, later following up: “I was going to go to the grave with this.”
It’s the first time that the mother-of-two has opened up about her sexuality on the show, despite making references to her preferences in 2014.
During the ‘Ask The Moms’ special, she was asked about her craziest experience in prison – which she wouldn’t tell as it was too scandalous.
But she hinted it involved a sexual experience with a woman as she detailed what happens on shows like Orange Is The New Black is “so true”.
Die-hard Teen Mom fans may also remember that in 2012, rumors circulated that Amber had become “special friends” with a woman.
The story, circulated by Radar Online, detailed the pair as being “so close” as the woman, nicknamed “Sugarfoot”, had Amber’s initials tattooed on her.
Despite this, over the years Amber has been seen in relationships with exclusively men, including Gary Shirley, Andrew Glennon and Matt Baier.
GETTING REAL
Fellow MTV star Kailyn Lowry also confirmed she’s “interested in both men and women” back in April.
Kailyn took to Instagram stories to answer a few of her fans’ most burning questions when curiosity about her sexuality came up.
One fan asked her if she was “interested in both girls and boys” in which the mom-of-four bravely responded: “True, and I’m only answering this because how many of you have asked.”
This is certainly not the first time that Kailyn has alluded to her sexuality as she told her Baby Mama No Drama podcast co-host, Vee Rivera, that she was willing to try a relationship with a woman after her failed relationship with Chris Lopez.
Chris and the Teen Mom 2 star share sons Lux and Creed, while she also shares Isaac with Jo Rivera and Lincoln with Javi Marroquin.
Kailyn told Vee: “I’m just nervous – I should go speed dating…with you guys, Javi, Jo, Chris, Vee, and all the kids and be like ‘this is my package deal.’ If you can’t hang! Is there speed dating for lesbians?”
Vee continued with her stance that Kailyn should search for her next relationship with a woman, she said: “I feel like you need to be with a girl honestly I swear, I feel.”
Kailyn added: “If I meet the right one…because the ones I’ve met…are not for me.”
