TEEN Mom alum Bristol Palin’s ex-husband Dakota Meyer said he’s “evil.”
The 32-year-old also admitted their “divorce” was “caused by him.”
Bristol, 30, and Dakota tied the knot in 2016 and divorced in 2018, while the exes share five-year-old daughter Sailor and four-year-old daughter Atlee.
On Thursday, Dakota took to Instagram to post a photo of Sailor at her kindergarten graduation.
Alongside the snap of his smiling daughter, he wrote: “Don’t blink, don’t blink……. that’s what every parent has always said to me that has older children.
“When you’re in the grind it’s so hard to stay focused on that and it’s even harder to ‘soak in the moments’ as everyone tells you.”
The lengthy caption continued: “Last night I watched the single most life changing thing for me graduate from kindergarten. Her teacher went through all the children speaking on who each child was individually. As I stood there listening as she called Sailor and naming all her qualities. Tears started running down my face. ‘Always willing to help others, a steward for all.’
“I was blown away, not surprised by the description but in disbelief that someone so great could come from someone so fucked up and evil as I am. Through legal battles, divorce, chaos and etc……… mostly caused by me.”
He then reflecting on his divorce from Bristol, writing: “Divorce is nasty there’s no other way to put it. It’s kinda like war. It brings out the worst in everyone involved and I think that’s normal. What’s not normal is to keep fighting. I’ve been guilty of doing things out of principle.
“Fortunately for me Sailor has a strong mom (that doesn’t get the credit she deserves) that is as adverse in conflict as I am and has been able to take it. What’s even more fortunate is that I was able to recognize it in a moment of reflection and tomorrow is a new day.”
Dakota concluded: “Long story short don’t hold on to the past and don’t blink.”
The emotional post comes after the Teen Mom OG alum reunited with her ex-husband at their daughter’s graduation.
Bristol, Dakota, Sailor, Atlee and the star’s 11-year-old son Tripp all posed together for a photo during the celebration.
The former MTV star shares her son with ex-husband Levi Johnson.
Bristol and Dakota had a rocky relationship before ultimately parting ways in January 2018.
After calling off their engagement in May 2015, the Alaskan native announced her pregnancy with their eldest daughter.
The couple later rekindled their romance and married in May 2016, welcoming their second child the following year.
Their relationship drama played out on the MTV reality series, Teen Mom OG when Bristol replaced original cast member Farrah Abraham.
Bristol’s reality television career came to an end when she quit the show the following season.
