TEEN Mom Kailyn Lowry revealed a new health diagnosis and admitted she couldn’t even take a shower during her secret struggle.
Kailyn opened up about her mental health struggles to Vee Rivera on her podcast Baby Mamas No Drama.
Kailyn, 29, confessed she had been diagnosed with depression in a therapy session right before the podcast episode was filmed.
Vee listened to Kailyn’s confession silently and has also admitted she suffers from depression and anxiety.
She shared: “I’m having a hard time processing that. I thought it was a weight thing. I thought that all the feelings I’d had over the past year were about losing weight.”
Kailyn has been struggling with her weight gain, especially after her Teen Mom co-star Briana DeJesus sent her a treadmill amid their legal feud as a body slam.
Kailyn admitted she struggled to leave the house and even shower, but thought it was because she was embarrassed with her weight gain.
She reported her therapist insisted it was actually depression.
Kailyn said: “Losing weight would make me feel better, but it wouldn’t change things.
“I felt my best in 2016 when I got plastic surgery and I maintained it until I got pregnant. I went to the gym six days a week and I was at the peak of my fitness.”
The Teen Mom threw some shade at one of her rival ex baby daddy’s: “It was a specific situation and person that changed my life and not in a good way.”
Kailyn was pregnant with her now four-year-old son Lux with Chris Lopez in 2017.
She told Vee: “I didn’t know how to bring it up and the only way for me to process the depression diagnosis is to talk about it.”
Kailyn said she “broke down crying” when talking to her therapist after he diagnoisis.
She said: “I don’t want to be the spokesperson for this. I don’t want to fight these stigmas, I don’t want to fight these stereotypes that come with depression, I don’t want to be a label.”
‘SO HUMBLING’
Kailyn admitted she’s cried both before and after her workout routine as she’s struggled with her weight.
As she sat in her car after her workout, Kailyn reflected: “It’s just like one of those things that’s humbling, because you’re able to do it, but also knowing how far you have to go.”
The 29-year-old revealed she has been struggling to lose weight since 2016.
Today was her first day back in the gym, and she called it hard.
Adding to her struggles is her recent revelation that she has been “diagnosed with depression” after being “mistakenly told she has bipolar disorder.”
Back in April, the MTV star revealed she had been misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder.
While recalling a fight that turned physical with her ex-husband Javi Marroquin, Kailyn said during The Things That Shape Us podcast to her friend Toni: “I haven’t struggled with that in a long time.
“That was something I more or less struggled with as a kid because I’d gone through so much trauma and when I was a young adult.
“Did I see you when I went through the doctors and they had me reassessed and re-evaluated and I ended up not being bipolar?”
MOM BOD
In 2016, Kailyn shocked fans when she shared her plastic surgery on Snapchat as she posted the grizzly photos of a tummy tuck.
After she had given birth to Lincoln, her second son, Kailyn underwent a full mommy makeover where Dr. Miami removed plenty of fat from her torso and gave her the hourglass shape she so desired.
On top of the tummy tuck, Kailyn also had neck liposuction done as she preferred to have a much slimmer face.
This is one of the more dangerous procedures as the complications can range from bruising and bleeding to infections – however, Kailyn came out safely on the other side.
In fact, Dr. Michael K. Newman told The Celeb Report exclusively that Kailyn undergoing so many procedures at once was definitely risky, adding: “Healing time for most these procedures varies from 2-4 weeks.
“When multiple procedures are combined at the same time, recovery can be longer, up to 8 weeks.”
Unfortunately, most of Dr. Miami’s work did not last many years as Kailyn got pregnant shortly after her mommy makeover with her third son, Lux.
In fact, her plastic surgeon seemingly shaded her as he called it “some bulls**t” that he had given her a full makeover only to get pregnant right after.
Additionally, she was diagnosed with PCOS, which causes difficulty losing weight after gaining it rapidly.
And though she had considered getting weight loss surgery, she quickly shut it down because she had stopped going to the appointments and couldn’t “afford to lose more hair.”
KAILYN’S FEUD
Adding to that was the mother of four’s admission that she’s been diagnosed with depression amid her ongoing feud with Teen Mom 2 co-star Briana DeJesus, 27.
Briana recently sent Kailyn a distasteful gift of a treadmill, which prompted Kailyn to get her lawyer involved.
In court papers obtained by The Celeb Report, Briana’s lawyer requested their upcoming court hearing be postponed from January 14, 2022 to January 19, 2022 because of a scheduling conflict on his end.
The hearing is to rule on Briana’s anti-slapp motion, which protects a person’s freedom of speech, that was filed in August to have the case dismissed.
The Celeb Report exclusively revealed that Kailyn’s attorney is demanding that Briana apologize to her for “antagonizing” her client.
The legal drama began when Kailyn filed her initial complaint against Briana in June.
The star sued Briana after she claimed Kailyn was absent from an episode of their reality series because she “assaulted her baby daddy Chris Lopez.”
Kailyn said she suffered “humiliation and anguish” from Briana’s claims.
