MACKENZIE McKee is facing backlash for calling Kamala Harris “colored” as fans believe her comments to be “racist” in regards to the newly elected Vice President.
The Teen Mom star is receiving hate from followers who claim her opinion on Kamala is “ignorant” and “dumb.”

Mackenzie, 26, voiced her thoughts on the new Vice President via Facebook, where she spoke negatively about Kamala‘s influence on the country.
“Sorry, no,” she wrote, “There are a lot of amazing women in the world for my daughters to look up to and see as role models.
“Kamala Harris is not one of them,” she bluntly stated.
After controversy arose in the comments of her post, the reality star sought to defend her opinion.
“It blows my mind that out of all the amazing colored women in this world, that is the one who is making history,” she shared.
Friends of the MTV celebrity were immediately shocked by the comment, replying: “Mackenzie McKee ‘colored women’, you know better.”
Fans of the mom of three were also appalled by the tone-deaf opinion, as they raced to Reddit to share their distaste.
“F**K I HATE HER,” one emotionally ranted while another urged: “Somebody get this bitch off TV.”
“Oh geeeeeez that’s awful. How are people STILL this ignorant,” another asked.
Others referenced her white privilege, as they sneered: “I was like wow she’s dumb, then I swiped to the next screenshot. Wooooooooooooooow she’s f**king dumb and a racist.”
Some referenced previous remarks the Teen Mom OG has made regarding race, inquiring: “Didn’t she also say really racist things about indigenous people? She’s pure trash.”
Mackenzie’s followers were hopeful that she would abandon such terms in the future, adding: “Wow! I had someone call me a colored girl a couple of years ago…shocked me then and that guy was 50…what in the hell would make a 20 something girl use that word.”
“All I have to say is please Mackenzie be better if not for yourself for your kids,” another pleaded.
One even asked that she be fired from the network, petitioning: “Sooooo MTV producers do your thang and ditch this bitch.”
The controversial TV personality has had her fair share of hate recently, after she accused her husband of seven years, Josh, of having an “emotional” affair with her cousin.
The claim came just six months after the star’s mother lost her battle with brain cancer in December of 2019, and Mackenzie was fighting deep depression over her passing.
Though it was later revealed that Josh was not cheating on his wife, the rumor caused a huge rift between the couple as Mackenzie aired their dirty laundry to all of the news publications and tabloids.
“Our relationship has always been up and down, and I’ve always shared our personal issues with the tabloids. But a couple of weeks ago I went through Josh’s phone and assumed the worst, and I posted about it on social media It was a huge mistake because it wasn’t true. I tried to clear it up but it was too late.”
“I really damaged Josh’s reputation and I feel horrible about it. He moved out of our home, and he’s been avoiding me. So I have no idea where I stand in our marriage,” she explained.
In the season 9 premiere of the long-running MTV original aired earlier this week, the couple’s relationship appeared highly strained and on the outs.
However, in September Mackenzie moved from Oklahoma to a $300K home in Florida where a neighbor told The Celeb Report that Josh’s white truck has been parked at the home for two weeks.
“She’s been really happy, she’s laughing and singing all day long. She doesn’t stop! She’s happy, for sure. She’s glad he’s there.
“Josh looks at home, too. They’ve taken to Florida life. It’s a perfect place to raise a young family,” they revealed.
