Viewers were left fuming as Lani blew £900 on a hot chocolate
Viewers were left in shock at the latest episode as they watched on while show star Lani blew some of the groups cash pot on a hot chocolate.
The show sees the stars take part in an 18-day-long trek, where the contestants face the temptations of home comforts.
However, if they give in, then the £300,000 joint cash prize will start to dwindle based on the prices of the items.
Despite this only being the second episode so far, the prize pot has already started to be chipped away at thanks to Lani’s move.
She said: “I feel a bit guilty but it was a well deserved treat for all that walking I did. I can just pretend that I didn’t do it.”
When the team all gathered around the fire pit together, they discussed how none of them had given in.
Lani also pretended to have done the same, as she said: “I give you the right to punch me in the face if I did that.”
Later on Lani told the viewers: “They won’t know. What you don’t know, won’t hurt you.”
Viewers were outraged by Lani’s blunder and took to Twitter to vent their frustration.
One wrote: “Of course she drinks another hot choc.”
Another added: “She’s a disgrace. Why enter the show if you are as weak as she is. She’s just ruining it for the rest.”
A third fumed: “Can someone accidentally( on purpose) push Lani into the swamp on the next episode please?”
A fourth raged: “Lani is possibly the most selfish person to appear on a reality, talking about being deceptive. Taking treats and outright lying about it.”
“Lani is just too much, she keeps loosing everyone money,” another wrote.
Lani has succumbed to temptation before; last night she risked it all for a milkshake that cost the team £500.
Lani said she was going to be taking treats, and said to the group she would be having a milkshake despite its £500 price tag.
The group said Lani “isn’t a team player” as they got riled up by her opinions and said she should’ve “stayed at home” instead of coming on the show.
Lani went ahead and had her vanilla milkshake, despite the rest of the team asking her if she was sure she wanted it.
She said: “I feel really down and I need a pick-me-up. It’s my decision and life is more important than money.”
