Tenable host Warwick Davis posts picture of his rarely-seen wife calling her ‘my best friend in the world’

TENABLE quiz host Warwick Davis has posted an emotional tribute to his wife Sammy on her birthday.

The 51-year-old star, famous for his roles in Harry Potter and Star Wars as well as the ITV teatime show, called her “my best friend in the whole world”.

Warwick tweeted: “It’s belated but I wanted the world to know, yesterday was my best friend in the whole world’s birthday!

“My beautiful wife, @Sammyddavis turned 51. I so admire how she faces life’s challenges with dignity, energy & courage) she’s an inspiration.”

He signed off the message: “Happy Birthday! Love always

xx.”

The star posted his tribute shortly after her birthday, which took place on Friday.

Warwick and Samantha met on the set of the movie Willow, where Samantha and her dad Peter Burroughs also had roles, in 1988.

The couple, who share children Annabelle and Harrison, married in June 1991.

Their daughter, 24, is also an actress who appears in Children’s BBC series The Dumping Ground as Sasha Bellman.

Warwick, thought to be the highest-grossing supporting actor of all time, has appeared in some of history’s biggest films.

He was Wicket the Ewok in a series of Star Wars films, the title role in Willow, and played Professor Flitwick and Griphook in the Harry Potter films.

On TV he was in the Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant sitcom Life’s Too Short and has hosted Tenable since 2016.

Warwick is a co-founder of charity Little People UK, which provides support to people with dwarfism and their families.
