Mute for Years After Dog Attack
The Apprentice star Melica Moshiri remained silent for several years following a traumatic dog attack during her childhood. The entrepreneur, who is currently a candidate on Lord Alan Sugar's BBC series, was left mute after the incident.
Early Struggles and Recovery
Moshiri, with Iranian heritage and raised in the UK, was bitten by a dog at the age of two. The attack left her so terrified that she could not speak for years. It wasn't until she received help from teachers at school that she began to find her voice again. She later pursued a degree in law at Brighton University.
Support and Success
With the support of her parents and teachers, Melica overcame her childhood trauma and is now a contestant on The Apprentice. She is competing for a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar for her AI tech recruitment company SkillTorch Ltd.
