THE BAY finale of season four aired tonight and the explosive episode has got viewers of the show all saying the same thing.

The Morecambe-based crime series came to an end on Wednesday with DS Jenn Townsend solving the case and putting the bad guys away.

Series four focused on the death of young mum Beth Metcalf, who appeared to have been killed in a targeted arson attack.

DS Jenn Townsend is called to help bereft husband Dean, who was struggling to hold it together with four children to look after.

Meanwhile, back at home, Jenn had troubles of her own as, along with Chris, she tried to get to grips with the realities of having a house full of teenagers and a blended family.

As the dramatic conclusion came to a head, fans were left all saying the same thing about the explosive ending.

Rushing to Twitter they begged ITV to reveal if there was going to a season five.

“put us out of our misery and confirm series 5 please #TheBay,” wrote one eager fan.

Another viewer penned: “#TheBay we are waiting for S5 to happen.”

“Hope there’s going to be another series of #TheBay,” added a third person.

While someone else asked: “Isn’t this where you announce series 5?”

During the gripping finale it was finale exposed who started the fire that killed Beth, leaving many fans shocked.
