Bosch: Legacy – Amazon Freevee
It’s being billed as a spin-off from the original Bosch but this is, to all intents and purposes, season eight of the hard-boiled but hugely enjoyable crime drama.
Having handed in his LAPD badge, grumpy Harry (Titus Welliver) is earning a living as a private investigator. And he’ll need all his experience to solve not one but two cases – the first that of an ailing billionaire desperate to track down an heir to his fortune, the second to serve justice on Carl Rogers, the man who hired a hitman to shoot his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) and old sparring partner Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers).
Meanwhile, Honey is tasked with defending a homeless man who confessed to murder and Maddie is finding life as a rookie cop more bruising than she expected.

The Pentaverate – Netflix
Fans of Wayne’s World and Austin Powers, get ready… Mike Myers has returned, with this silly and spectacular spoof sci-fi series about an ancient and secret society, The Pentaverate, which tries to influence world events for the good. Inspired by a scene in his 1993 movie So I Married An Axe Murderer, the series stars Mike as eight different characters, Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Jennifer Saunders and Lydia West.
As with all Myers’ comedies expect a crude, rude and frequently funny ride.

The Dry – BritBox
When Shiv (Roisin Gallagher), who’s “five months, 17 days and six hours” sober, returns home to Dublin from London for her grandmother’s funeral, the tepid welcome from her somewhat eccentric family – including dad Tom (Ciáran Hinds), mum Bernie (Pom Boyd) and sister Caroline (Siobhán Cullen) – suggests neither absence nor abstinence has made the heart grow much fonder.
But over eight warm and witty episodes, Shiv and the rest of the Sheridan clan are forced to face some home truths and let go of some long-held secrets.

Tehran – Apple TV+
If you loved Israeli drama Fauda but haven’t checked out creator Moshe Zonder’s equally brilliant espionage thriller Tehran, now’s the time.
The show, which follows the nail-biting adventures of Israeli secret service agent Tamar (Niv Sultan), begins its second season this week, with Tamar looking for a way out of Tehran and to avenge the deaths of those close to her.
Help is at hand from mysterious new character Marjan (Glenn Close) – but will revenge come at a price?

This brilliantly silly new comedy from the writers of People Just Do Nothing is all about the hapless adventures of Andy (Allan Mustafa) a thirtysomething personal trainer collapsing under the weight of an age-related identity crisis. Imagine if David Brent worked in a gym and you’ll get the idea.
David Spade: Nothing Personal – Netflix
The US comedian and actor is on fire in his debut Netflix stand-up special, tackling everything from his disdain for crabs to his method for turning down drugs. Filmed on stage in Minneapolis, this is a no-holds-barred set from a comic at the top of his game.
The Sex Lives Of College Girls – ITV Hub
Warm-hearted and smart, Mindy Kaling’s new comedy-drama series follows the coming-of-age adventures of four young women – Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet), Bela, Leighton and Whitney – thrown together as roommates in their first year of college in Vermont.
Anomalia – All4
Switzerland isn’t famed for its TV shows (apart from good old Pingu, of course). but that’s changed with the arrival of this mysterious new sci-fi drama about a neurosurgeon, Valerie (Natacha Regnier) who starts to believe she has healing powers.
