TWO of ITV’s biggest game shows are to be moved next week in another schedule shake-up.
The broadcaster has revealed that the two popular formats will fail to air in their regular timeslots on Monday next week.
Tipping Point faces another schedule shake-up
Bradley Walsh’s The Chase also faces the same fate
On Monday 29 May, the shows will be broadcast later than usual as a result of the Bank Holiday.
This follows ITV’s recent trend to move the shows each Bank Holiday Monday.
The programmes were also switched up for the King’s Coronation earlier this month.
Tipping Point, fronted by Ben Shephard, will air 50 minutes later than usual at 4:50pm.
Viewers of The Chase will then catch the Bradley Walsh fronted game show right after at 5:50pm.
Monday’s edition of The Chase will be shortened to finish in time for the ITV News at 6:35pm.
It comes after what could have been a huge blunder on The Chase ended up paying off for one contestant on a recent episode.
During his cash-builder, contestant Fintan was asked: “In computer security what word would go before code phrase and word.”
It was clear he didn’t know, and responded: “Pass.”
However, it was revealed that the correct response was pass, which shocked not only Fintan but even Bradley who appeared gobsmacked.
After the game was over, Bradley was left speechless at what he had just seen – with the contestant achieving a first on the game show.
Bradley exclaimed: “It’s happened, it’s actually happened,” in absolute shock.
