THE Chase has been cancelled tonight after ITV confirmed a major schedule shake up for The Queen’s funeral.

The ITV quiz show normally airs at 5pm on weekdays, but will not be broadcast today as the network focuses on coverage of The Queen’s state funeral.

Tipping Point is also removed from the schedules today

It began at 9.30am and will continue through to 6pm this evening, before the ITV Regional News, followed by an extended Evening News at 6.30pm.

It means other quiz shows including Tenable and Tipping Point have also been cancelled.

Following the news, ITV will broadcast a documentary film, Queen Elizabeth II: A Nation Remembers, chronicling the events of the past ten days from Her Majesty The Queen’s death to the state funeral at 7.30pm.

The changes means there will be no soaps this evening, with Coronation Street and Emmerdale both removed from today’s schedules.

The Chase fans all say the same thing as show returns after schedule shake up

At 9pm, there will be a further special documentary programme, Queen Elizabeth II: The Final Farewell focusing on the day’s events, narrated by ITV News’ James Mates as the nation says goodbye to a most extraordinary woman and our longest-reigning sovereign.

This will be followed by an extended News at Ten presented by Tom Bradby, before Regional News and then a repeat of Queen Elizabeth II: The Final Farewell at 11pm.

Meanwhile over on the BBC, coverage is also dedicated to the state funeral.

After the live coverage, BBC News will air at 5pm followed by regional news.

Then at 6.15pm a special edition of The One Show dedicated to The Queen will be broadcast followed by Paddington 2 at 6.50pm.

EastEnders has been cancelled as there will be more coverage of the funeral after Paddington 2 ends.

Then at 10pm, News at Ten will air in its usual time slot.
