After a usual nail-biting final round, the Chasers often pull it out the bag to secure a win, stopping the contestants from walking away with a life-changing amount of money.

Most of the time the quizzing genius’ graciously celebrates their win, other times they are more obvious about beating their opponents,

Viewers have taken to social media to mock the Chasers over the top celebrations.

One fan posted a TikTok clip of them ecstatically dancing around and captioned it: “The Chasers when they beat a single mum with three kids living in a one bed apartment.”

Another social media influencer shared a hilarious meme clip of Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty and joked: “The Chasers after stopping the celebrities win £100,000 for the terminally ill children.”

Someone else shared a funny video of them singing along to Awolnation’s hit track Sail and said: “The Chasers after getting 20 straight right to stop a charity receiving £50,000.”

They added: “Why don’t they just get it wrong on purpose so the charities get the money.”

It looks like many fans also agree and think the quizzing pros should go easy on contestants and celebrities playing for charity.

One wrote: “Last night when the chaser got three questions right in the last 7 seconds to stop the charities getting 50k.”

Another posted: “It’s a scam. They wanna pretend to be good people without loosing any money.”

A third echoed:” They are so smug when they win.”

“The contestants are always on the verge of tears, the worst part is that it’s always the people who just want a nice holiday who walk away with the money,” a fourth added.

However, others said it could lead to “fix rows” if the Chasers softened their approach on the show.

One wrote: “Although, to be fair, if they just gave out money, the audience would lose interest, no one would watch, and then they wouldn’t have money to give.”

A second agreed: “I think it’s fair as it is, they can’t give away the money.”

“It would be unfair for some contestants if the Chasers started to pick and choose who wins,” another pointed out.
