He bore a striking resemblance to Hollywood heartthrob Jamie Dornan
Fans swooned over the handsome player
Facing off against them today was Paul Sinha aka The Sinnerman.
Viewers of the show were immediately taken by one contestant in particular and even compared him to a Hollywood heartthrob.
Hunky Jamie was a medical student from Shrewsbury who was studying at University of Oxford and impressed his players and Paul with his impressive cash builder round.
After a strong run, Jamie was left with a cool £8,000 to play for but it was his good looks rather than his brain that got everybody talking.
One fan compared the player to his Hollywood namesake, Jamie Dornan, and was stunned by the resemblance to the Fifty Shades of Grey actor.
The fan said: “Had to do a double take for seat 1. Jamie. Thought it was #thechase celebrities. Jamie Dornan anyone??”
A fellow viewers was left swooning over the stunning contestant, adding: “Jamie on #TheChase is incredible handsome [love heart eyes emoji].
A third commented: “Can we talk about how fine Jamie is?”
As a fourth lusted over the player, writing: “Oh hi Jamie,” followed by a waving emoji, a hot and sweaty emoji and a cheeky wink emoji.
Jamie managed to get through to the final round with one of his fellow players but found themselves caught by the chaser with a score of 17.
It is not the first celebrity who has been ‘spotted’ on the programme this week.
Fans were left in awe when comedian Eddie Izzard ‘appeared’ on the show.
Kate, a market stall owner from Kent, was last up to play against the quizzing giant on today’s show and fans could not get over her resemblance to comedian Eddie Izzard.
Some viewers of the show were left questioning whether it really was Eddie appearing on the programme.
