THE Chase viewers were left blushing by a VERY rude question about jewellery.
Monday’s edition of the ITV quiz show saw Bradley Walsh ask four new players questions in a bid to beat the Chaser and win some money.
When contestant Francesca took on Shaun Wallace, she was asked: “What term describes an eye-catching oversized ring, typically featuring an imitation gem?”
The answer options were “A, champagne ring, B, chaser ring and C, cocktail ring.”
Francesca correctly chose option C, cocktail ring, but a number of viewers were too busy laughing at the question to take note.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Oversized ring?!”
A fellow viewer tweeted: “I’ve got an eye catching oversized ring apparently. So my proctologist tells me, anyway #TheChase”.
Another added: “I’m so innocent I didn’t react to oversized ring. You guys are corrupting me #TheChase”.
Francesca safely made it back to her seat for the Final Chase, as did her fellow players Chris and Sarah.
They worked well as a team and managed to beat Shaun, splitting £66,000 between them.
Bradley was thrilled, telling them: “Sixty six thousand smackers! 22 grand each. That’s enough to start Chris’ business.”
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
