The Chase viewers seriously distracted by contestant’s looks – and his gamble doesn’t pay off

THE Chase viewers were left seriously distracted by a contestant’s looks – and his gamble didn’t pay off.

Wednesday’s episode of the ITV quiz show saw player Kwasi step up to try to beat Chaser Anne Hegerty.

Kwasi also wore some statement shoes

Kwasi pulled out all the stops for his moment in the spotlight, wearing a striking black and gold jacquard patterned tuxedo jacket.

He also sported a pair of statement shoes to complete his look, and it was enough to distract viewers from the fact he felt confident enough to go for the high offer of £53,000.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer of The Chase wrote: “This fella deserves to be in the final for his clobber alone.”

Another added: “Kwasi, if you wear a jacket like that you need to be good.”

One viewer even went to the effort of looking up where the jacket was from, and realised it was designer.

The wrote: “Kwasi wearing a Dolce & Gabbana jacket. No wonder he went high – expensive taste.”

Unfortunately for Kwasi, his gamble didn’t pay off and Anne managed to catch him during their head-to-head, sending him home empty-handed.

Another viewer wrote: “Kwasi the sharpest dresser ever on #TheChase makes a sharp exit.”

A fellow fan tweeted: “Well done Kwasi, at least you had the bottle to go for it.”

His exit meant there were only two players in the Final Chase, trying to win £7,000.

While they scored a respectable 14 between them, it wasn’t enough to stop Anne from catching them, sending them home with nothing too.
