THE CHASE’S Bradley Walsh has revealed he secretly became a grandfather five months ago.
The 61-year-old’s eldest daughter, Hayley, and her partner Tom welcomed a baby boy and Bradley’s plans to be a “brilliant grandfather”.
Speaking to Saga magazine, he shared: “I am a grandfather! My daughter and her husband Tom have had a baby boy who is coming up for five months old.
“It’s been tricky as during lockdown no one could get to see their grandchildren. Thank God for FaceTime – it has kept people in touch.”
The excited actor added: “I’m going to be a brilliant grandfather because I’ve got this trick.
“When the baby grows into a toddler, make sure you spend plenty of time with them, feeding them ice cream and Coca-Cola, and then give them back at just the right time and say to your children, ‘There you are, that’s what you were like.’ “
Hayley, who runs a reflexology business, revealed she was pregnant at the start of this year as she told her followers she was “on maternity leave”.
She wrote: “Finding out we were expecting was just incredible, however being pregnant during this lockdown has been a little tricky at times.
“I’ve been spending the last few months frantically trying to learn as much as possible online.”
Viewers are used to seeing Bradley with Barney, his son with Donna Derby, who appears in their popular Breaking Dad series.
But his daughter, who trained at the London School of Reflexology, hasn’t followed in her dad’s showbiz footsteps in the same way.
Hayley, the star’s daughter from a relationship with Debby Parker, lives in Hertfordshire with her boyfriend, Tom.
She already appears to be back at work as she shared a picture from her studio at the start of October.
