VIEWERS who happen to be fans of The Bachelorette and Bridgerton are in for some good news.
There’s another reality television show on the block – called The Courtship – that puts a Victorian-era style spin on The Bachelor format audiences came to know.
The Courtship: Who is in the cast?
Production of The Courtship, which was previously titled Pride & Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance, was first announced by Peacock on July 7, 2021.
The series description from the press release read: “Housed in a castle on the countryside, set on a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills, the heroine and suitors will experience that with which dreams are made of.”
“From carriage rides and boat rides on the lake, to archery and handwritten letters to communicate, they will be immersed in a time-traveling quest for love.”
Adding to the synopsis: “In the end, our heroine and her suitors will discover if the ultimate romantic experience will find them true love.”
Nicole Remy
Nicole Remy is the leading lady of The Courtship and the one the guys are competing for.
She is a software engineer from Seattle, Washington, who graduated from the University of Southern California in 2018.
In the show’s first trailer, Nicole says she is, “willing to see if love can be found the old way.”
Dr. Claire Spain-Remy
Dr. Claire is the mother of The Courtship’s lead, Nicole Remy.
Nicole’s mom is a retired OB-GYN and a member of her daughter’s court on the show.
According to her official show bio: “Claire has the ability to get these suitors to let their guard down, which is when she really starts digging to find the man worthy of her princess.”
Tessa Cleary
Tessa Cleary is the best friend of Nicole Remy and another member of her court.
Also from Seattle just like her best friend, Nicole is an architectural associate.
Tessa’s show bio describes her with the following: “She always sees the best in people, but is also known to be a very successful social media sleuth tracking down their past relationships, family, hobbies and more – as the best girlfriends always are.”
Rick Edwards
Rick Edwards is an English broadcaster, journalist, author, and television presenter – and also the host of the program.
He’s the presenter and the host of a number of network shows for the UK’s BBC channel.
Rick was featured on Drunk History, Impossible, Debatable, and Child Genius.

NBC premiered The Courtship on March 6, 2022.
The show can be seen each Sunday at 8pm ET live on NBC and will be available to stream on Peacock the next day.
The reality program will hold the 8pm slot on NBC for the remainder of the first season.
In the UK, the series will air the first season simultaneously to the US on Sky TV.
