THE Crown boss has revealed why there’s no way the Netflix show can continue beyond season six.
The hit drama about the British Monarchy has had viewers gripped for four seasons so far, with two more to come.

Imelda Staunton will be taking over from Olivia Colman as the Queen for seasons five and six, which is set to be its last.
If there were any fans hoping show boss Peter Morgan will have a change of heart and develop a seventh season, they will be disappointed after an executive producer shut down any speculation in a new interview.
Speaking to Broadcast, Suzanne Mackie explained how Peter doesn’t intend to move the story on past the early 2000s.
She said: “Peter has said it very articulately, that he simply can’t write something unless there has been time to gain a proper perspective.
“I think he’s always felt 10 years is the minimum amount of time that he can see something in a historical context, to allow him to really understand it.”
Suzanne continued: “I don’t think he’ll deviate from that. We all know these stories, but what Peter does so brilliantly is get underneath that and understand the landscape in a more nuanced, complex, surprising way.”
Peter had previously decided to end the series after season five, before making a U-turn and confirming there would be a sixth and final season after all.
In a tweet from the official Netflix account, Peter said at the time: “As we started to discuss the storylines for Series 5, it soon became clear that in order to do justice to the richness and complexity of the story we should go back to the original plan and do six seasons.”
Joining Imelda in season five is Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret.
The cast of The Crown changes every two seasons to reflect the ageing of te Royal Family.
