The Crown's Elizabeth Debicki Recreates Iconic Diana Cover Ahead of Season Six Premiere

A classic photo of Princess Diana that appeared on Vogue's front cover has been recreated for the hit Netflix drama The Crown. The new image features actress Elizabeth Debicki, 33, dressed in black as the tragic royal, and can be seen on the cover of the latest issue of Radio Times.

Recreating an Iconic Image

The photograph of Princess Diana was originally taken by French photographer Patrick Demarchelier and was intended to be used on her 1992 biography. However, according to author Andrew Morton, there was a dispute over the fee, and ultimately, a different photograph by British photographer Terence Donovan was chosen for the book cover.

The Crown Season Six Premiere

The highly anticipated sixth season of The Crown, which delves into the events surrounding Diana's tragic death in a Paris car crash in 1997, is set to premiere on Thursday. Elizabeth Debicki, who portrays Diana in the upcoming season, attended the Los Angeles premiere of the first episode.

Also present at the event was Meg Bellamy, who plays a young Kate Middleton meeting Prince William during their university days.
