From BBC to Sky
The fate of a hit Sky series featuring top comedian Bill Bailey has been revealed, following the axing of their BBC show earlier this year. The BBC program, Bring The Drama, hosted by Bailey, offered aspiring actors the opportunity to land small roles in well-known BBC dramas.
New Beginnings with Sky
Despite the show being discontinued after just one series, Bailey has received good news from Sky as they have recommissioned his show. Master Crafters: The Next Generation has been given the green light for a third series on the commercial network.
Master Crafters: The Next Generation
The show focuses on early-career craftspeople specializing in heritage crafts who undergo bespoke masterclasses to enhance their skills. The upcoming series will continue to spotlight heritage crafts, with talented workers engaging in specialized classes focused on areas like mosaics, letterpress painting, blacksmithing, stone masonry, and carving.
Celebrity Cameos and Mentoring
In the previous BBC show, eight aspiring actors were mentored by casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry over six weeks, with opportunities to work on popular drama shows like EastEnders, Peaky Blinders, and Silent Witness. Celebrity cameos included Natalie Cassidy and Line of Duty's Rochenda Sandall.
