New Year special
The Great British Bake Off has revealed the line-up for its upcoming festive specials. The New Year episode will feature fan-favorite contestants Mark, Maxy, Maggie, and Jürgen. The show's official Twitter account shared a photo of the contestants alongside judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, as well as hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding. The episode promises an "epic baking battle" to start the New Year off right. The New Year special will air on January 1st at 7.40 pm on Channel 4.
Christmas Eve special
Another festive special will air on Christmas Eve, featuring former bakers George, Sophie, Dan, Amelia, Linda, and Carole. The Great British Bake Off is known for its holiday episodes, where past contestants return for a chance to be named Star Baker once again. The Christmas Eve special is sure to bring holiday cheer and delicious treats to viewers.
Last week, Matty Edgell was crowned the winner of The Great British Bake Off 2023, beating out his fellow finalists Dan Hunter and Josh Smalley. The show has a tradition of crowning a New Year's champion as well, and last year's winner was Manon Lagrèv. The festive specials will air on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
