THE Hills’ Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt surprised fans by inviting Katie Couric into their home to feed their hummingbirds.
The reality stars spent an “insane morning” with Katie after the acclaimed journalist, 64, asked if she could see the “epic” birds in their garden.
Katie gushed that she was still “giddy” from the experience as she shared a series of clips and snaps with Heidi, Spencer and their 3-year-old son, Gunner.
In one video, a masked Spencer explained why he loves hummingbirds so much, before Heidi and Gunner joined him outside to greet Katie.
In another, Katie was seen standing stock still as a brightly-colored hummingbird ate from a feeder in her hand.
The presenter wrote alongside the post: “Ok friends, I had the most insane morning yesterday and I’ve been dying to share it with you!”
Katie went on: “I dm’d @spencerpratt and @heidimontag and asked if I could go see their epic hummingbirds and they said YES!
“Spencer and Heidi were so nice, Gunner was adorable, and the hummingbirds were absolutely beautiful!!!
“I cannot believe how up close and personal the birds get. And Spencer even gave me a @prattdaddy crystal on my way out. So cool. Check out all the incredible videos we took!!! A couple of them landed on my hand!!!”
She concluded: “Can you tell I’m still giddy????? THANK YOU Spencer, Heidi, Gunner and Mother Nature!”
The couple’s morning with Katie comes after Heidi shut down rumors that she’s pregnant with her second child.
The MTV star – who recently launched an OnlyFans account – tweeted: “No I am not pregnant yet. Just a little overweight.”
She sparked speculation last month after showcasing what fans believed was a baby bump in orange workout gear.
One fan commented: “Is that a baby bump?? Will Gunner be a big bro??”
Heidi also appeared to have a fuller figure when she hit the beach with Spencer and Gunner earlier this month.
Heidi and Spencer met in 2007 at a club in Hollywood while Heidi was filming The Hills and married in 2009.
After the birth of Gunner in 2017, the couple told E! News that they were definitely thinking about having more kids soon, and that a psychic disclosed that they were going to have twins.
The next year the reality pair divulged that they would be returning for The Hills reboot that debuted in the Summer of 2019.
