SAVVY The Masked Singer viewers think they have figured who Dragon is.
Dragon was the first to perform on Saturday’s show and gave a delightful rendition of Cher’s The Shoop Shoop Song by Cher.
In the clues package before their performance, Dragon hinted they had appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in the past.
The clue showed Dragon at a table of food in the seemingly Welsh castle where the 2020 I’m A Celeb series was filmed.
Dragon also teased a strong connection to the LGBTQIA+ community – which explains the colours of the rainbow flag on Dragon’s front.
Viewers at home thought these hints pointed to Doctor Who actor, John Barrowman.
He competed on the 2018 series of I’m A Celeb which was set in the Australian jungle and he underwent gross eating challenges in the Bushtucker Trials, including one where he ate a goat’s eye.
“Dragons have a very varied diet,” Dragon said in the clues package.
“I’ve had duck tongues, udders, trotters and even pigs bums.”
That series of clues forced many viewers to change from their minds from their original guesses of Aussie drag queen, Courtney Act, and RuPaul’s Drag Race judge, Michelle Visage.
Both drag icons appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, but not I’m A Celeb.
One Twitter user wrote: “#TheMaskedSinger The dragon is John Barrowman without a doubt.”
And another added: “Thought Courtney Act but now thinking potentially John Barrowman? #TheMaskedSinger.”
Other clues Dragon has dropped about their identity so far included them saying, “the thing about dragons is they’re all fire and strength on the outside, but they just want to be loved.”
“Becoming a dragon has meant I’ve literally become a big character, but I’m not entirely sure that’s how I’m usually thought of,” they continued.
“Anyways, I mustn’t drag on. I might be cute, but sometimes I have a fiery temper.”
Then, in the second clues package Dragon said: “Hiding behind Dragon, I can perform in a way I would never be able to do normally.
“The thing about dragons is, they are brave. or at least that’s what people think. I can’t decide whether I’m brave or silly.”
The Masked Singer last night revealed Sir Lenny Henry is Blob.
The comedian, 62, was eliminated alongside A-Ha’s Morten Harket as the Viking in a double-eviction on Saturday night.
