The hit BBC thriller, The Night Manager, is making a comeback after eight years off our screens with not one but two new series. Lead star Tom Hiddleston, 43, has confirmed that he will be reprising his role as hero Jonathan Pine. There are also hints that his love interest on the show, played by Elizabeth Debicki, 33, could also make a comeback.

Steamy Scenes and Exciting Plot Twists

The show, known for its thrilling plot and steamy scenes, captured audiences when it first aired in 2016. Filming for the new seasons is set to begin later this year and is expected to air in late 2025. BBC content boss Charlotte Moore expressed her excitement about the return of The Night Manager after years of speculation.

A James Bond Movie Feel

Viewers were captivated by the show's high production value, with scenes reminiscent of a James Bond movie. The chemistry between Elizabeth's character, Jed Marshall, and Jonathan Pine created some of the most memorable moments. Notably, Tom Hiddleston's bare buttocks scene against a wall became an iconic image of the series.

Returning Characters and New Developments

The show, based on John le Carré’s novel, is executive produced by Hugh Laurie, who played the role of the villainous arms dealer Richard Roper in the first season. Fans can also look forward to the potential return of Olivia Colman's character, Angela Burr. However, one character who won't be making a comeback is Roper's sidekick, Corky, who met his demise in the first series.
