THE One Show’s Alex Jones was rushed to hospital last night to have her baby monitored.
The 44-year-old, who is currently pregnant with her third child, shared a picture as she lay in a hospital gown while wired up at 3am in the morning.
She told her followers: “Just been brought in to have a bit of monitoring… nothing exciting so far.”
In the snap, Alex is joined by her husband Charlie Thompson, who was grinning broadly.
The update suggests that Alex – who recently went on maternity leave from the BBC show – might be nearer to her due date than fans originally thought.
Alex is mum to sons Edward, four, and Kit, two, but the presenter announced in March that her third child will be a baby girl.
The TV star told BBC One viewers she was having a baby girl calling her pregnancy “the best surprise ever”.
Alex, who gave birth to son Kit in 2019, posed alongside the youngster and her husband in a black and white snap.
The lad was pictured holding up a letterboard bearing the words: “Coming soon… Baby Number 3.”
Little Kit was Alex’s second baby with New Zealander husband Charlie after son Teddy’s arrival in 2017.
Alex got engaged to insurance broker Charlie in February 2015 after meeting at a party in 2011.
The couple tied the knot the same year at Cardiff Castle on December 31 – announcing they were expecting their first child less than a year later.
