THE Repair Shop’s Jay Blades has revealed that his BBC spin-off show Home Fix has been axed.
The 52-year-old star, who won a legion of fans on the hit restoration show, landed his own programme back in 2020.
But after two successful series and rave reviews from viewers, BBC bosses have decided to pull the plug on the show.
The furniture restorer and presenter has confirmed that there will be no more episodes.
“We aren’t doing any more of it,” Jay told the Daily Star.
The decision was made to free up some space for upcoming new shows.

“We loved working with Jay and Dom on Home Fix, and after two brilliant series we’re making space in the schedule for new commissions,” a spokesperson said.
Although fans will be gutted that the show won’t be returning, they can still catch Jay on The Repair Shop.
Jay said: “There is more stuff coming. Watch this space. We are working on a different show. It will be positive.
“We were commissioned for The Repair Shop for three more years and if people keep watching us, we’ll be on for another three years after that.”
The BBC said that they will “continue” to work with Jay and co-host Dom Chinea on future projects.
The self-confessed DIY enthusiast landed the show back in 2020, as he shared personal tips and tricks to help viewers become self-sufficient in their own homes.
Jay demonstrated how people could become a bit more handy at home during lockdown, no matter what their level of experience, through a range of simple demonstrations from his own workshop.
Jay said at the time: “DIY is a real passion of mine but sometimes even the most simple tasks are met with hesitation and this is usually because people have failed at past projects.

“My moto is ‘plan to avoid disappointment’ and in doing that, you will always be equipped with the tools to tackle the job in hand, and avoid becoming overwhelmed by unforeseen issues.
“I’m especially looking forward to taking a look back through the BBC archive and sharing expert tips to encourage viewers to get stuck in at home and embrace DIY during lockdown – or dare I say, enjoy it.”
