TIMOTHY Spall has revealed the truth behind his dramatic weight loss.
He looked almost unrecognisable when he appeared on screen in the role of Peter Farquhar in The Sixth Commandment.

The new BBC drama series focuses on the Buckinghamshire murder committed by Benjamin Field in 2015.
Author Peter, 69, was killed by Benjamin, 28, after he manipulated the older man for financial gain and tried to make his death look like an accident or suicide.
Peter was duped into a fake relationship with Benjamin, who hoped the pensioner would change his will.
But fans may have noticed that Timothy, 66, has become far more slender over recent years and he admitted that it is down to a healthier lifestyle.
The actor previously told Radio Times: “I wanted to change my lifestyle and lose weight and it’s done what I’d always hoped it might.
“As a character actor, it’s put me in a position where I’m not hobbled by being a certain shape. I’m no longer that avuncular round bloke. It does feel liberating on many levels.”
He’s arguably best known for his role as Peter Pettigrew in five of the Harry Potter movies in the global franchise.
The star has also appeared in many high-profile projects over the years including Hamlet (1996), Enchanted (2007), The King’s Speech (2010), Denial (2016), and Spencer (2021).
In 1996 he was nominated for the BAFTA for Best Actor for his role in Secrets and Lies.
He first rose to fame in 1983 where he played the role of Barry Spencer Taylor in the ITV comedy drama series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet from 1983 until 2004.
