THE Teacher viewers have been left convinced they have already solved a ‘skin-crawling’ twist after just one episode.
The new Channel 5 drama stars Sheridan Smith as a secondary school teacher called Jenna Garvey.
Jenna is emotionally troubled but after securing a promotion, she heads out to a club to celebrate.
However, the boozy night leads to her being accused of sleeping with Kyle, one of her 15-year-old pupils.
Jenna has no memory of the night, having blacked out, and she starts to try and get to the truth of what happened before it ruins her life.
However, her earlier flirty behaviour with Kyle has left many viewers convinced she is guilty and that will be the big twist.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “#theteacher on second thoughts…it looks like she’s guilty”.
Another added: “Anybody watching #TheTeacher on Channel 5 and can feel their skin crawling? Horrid.”
A third tweeted: “What ever happens to her from now is her mess, cause why is she flirting with a child. If I’m in a club and a 15-year-old comes there, I’m out #TheTeacher”.
However, other viewers felt like the teacher had been set up.
One wrote: “True I hope the truth comes out and I think it was Izzy’s mum who set it up, the woman played by Sharon Rooney.”
Another added: “Defo a set up this.. Nina I reckon! #TheTeacher.”
A third shared: “Deffo a set up, Young girl and mother main suspects, Phone went walkabout.”
The Teacher continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
