The Vamps’ Connor Ball gets his skates on for Dancing On Ice 2022

VAMPS bassist Connor Ball has signed up to Dancing On Ice.

The musician is joining Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor and Happy Mondays singer Bez, who The Celeb Report exclusively revealed had signed up to the ITV show earlier this week.

The popstar is likely to be the heartthrob of the series

Also appearing on the series, which starts next year, are rugby player Ben Foden, Love Island babe Liberty Poole and Regan Gascoigne.

A source said: “Connor is going to be the heartthrob of the series.

“He is young, fit and raring to go in the competition.

“Connor is a born performer and has great musicality so he’ll be able to dance no issue – but when it comes to ice skating it could be a little more difficult.”

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole has also signed on the dotted line for the popular ITV series.

With the Vamps Connor, 25, has had huge success, with two No1 albums and five top ten singles.

However he hasn’t always found performing easy and in 2018 went onto This Morning to seek from resident therapists, The Speakmans, about his struggle with anxiety.

He also suffered from bad panic attacks – some which left him being hospitalised.

Connor said: “I suffer with generalised anxiety order, panic attacks and depression as well.

“In the band it has affected me because I don’t go to as many things as I would like to or should do. I would like to be going out and seeing more people.”

The Speakmans helped Connor go back to moments in his childhood and identified an accident as a child in Greece and the moment he discovered he was allergic to nuts as a child as triggers for his anxiety over touring.
