Hope exposed Huck’s secrets by cracking a CRM code

While the show offered some answers about the group who rescued Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in the main series, it also left audiences with an array of questions.

With season 2 already confirmed, we can expect answers when new episodes arrive next year.

However, season 2 will also be the show’s last, meaning there are plenty of loose ends to tie up.

Here are out top predictions about what will unfold when The Walking Dead: World Beyond returns to screens.

The CRM’s Downfall

The Civic Republic’s true motives were exposed in the latter half of season 1, particularly the ruthlessness of their military.

After wiping out the Campus Colony – claiming, tenuously, that they could one day pose a threat – the community set about recruiting Hope (Alexa Mansour) to work alongside her father in the science division.

Despite agreeing to join, Hope has made it crystal clear she has no love for the CRM and even promised to her sister Iris (Aliyah Royale) that they would take them down together.

What’s more, their father expressed concerns about the CRM’s methods, much to the discomfort of his science partner.

Will the family manage to topple the CRM collectively from the inside? They’ll certainly be doing everything in their power.

Rick Grimes Cameo

We already know that it was the CRM who picked up Rick Gimes by helicopter after being called in by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) in the main series.

However, so far we’ve had very limited glimpses of the group’s territories, with only the labs and Elizabeth’s (Julia Ormond) residence getting much screentime.

It would certainlt go down a storm with fans if Rick Grimes got to make a cameo before the end of season 2.

Considering bosses have previously claimed the show will pave the way for the Rick Grimes movie trilogy, we’re confident he could pop up.

Zombie Virus Breakthrough

World Beyond has offered fresh insights into the nature of the zombie virus – namely the fight back against it.

The Civic Republic has invested huge amounts of resources into finding a cure, as seen in scenes where dozens of test subjects are exposed to different environmental conditions.

What’s more, recruitment is one of the group’s biggest priorities, namely when it comes to tracking down bright minds.

Perhaps season 2 will show the fruits of the scientists’ labour and we’ll learn more about the nature of the virus plaguing mankind.

Civil War

Tensions are brewing within the CRM – and leader Elizabeth could have an uprising on her hands.

Firstly, her daughter Huck (Annet Mahendru) was mortified after learning that she planned to slaughter the survivors from the Campus Colony, including her friend Felix (Nico Tortorella) and Hope’s sister Iris.

What’s more, escapees from the community, including Felix’s boyfriend Bill (Jelani Alladin), are spreading the word about what they’ve done – and no doubt will rally a militia hungry for revenge.

Then there’s the fact that Percy (Ted Sutherland) wants revenge on Huck for murdering his Uncle – and he made it perfectly clear he wants to kill her himself.

The CRM isn’t short on enemies and we’re expecting an almighty battle in season 2 as the group is held accountable for its crimes.

Hope and Iris Reunited

Hope and Iris’ relationship has had its ups and downs, but in the season finale the sisters made it clear they had each others’ backs, no mattter what.

Despite parting ways, the pair are united by a common goal – to ensure their father’s safety.

However, the pair are yet to learn of the massacre at their home town, the Campus Colony.

When they find out what happened, no doubt they will reunite to seek justice for those they’ve lost.
