This Morning fans all have the same complaint as Holly and Phil present on International Women’s Day

THIS Morning viewers all had the same complaint today as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield teamed up to present the show on International Women’s Day.

Fans of the show pointed out there was a wealth of female talent that could have filled in for regular presenter Phillip for the day, such as Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson or Rochelle Humes.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: “Whats Phil doing there, it should be Alison, Josie or Rochelle today, an all female team on international women’s day perhaps?

.”

Another posted: “I thought that since today was #InternationalWomensDay, I thought that Phil was gonna be replaced with a lady – so it’ll be Holly and Josie or Alison. But #ThisMorning couldn’t be a***d to call either of them today, could they?”

It was an emotional morning on the show with Holly sobbing over children suffering in Ukraine.

Co-host Phillip was forced to cut to a break as Holly sat with tears running down her face.

The 41-year-old mum was in bits after a debate about refugees fleeing Putin’s invasion of the Ukraine.

Ex Coronation Street star Nicola Thorp had joined the debate in the studio and claimed the government was not doing enough to allow people to reach safety in the UK.

Tensions flared in the studio between Nicola and radio presenter Julia Hartley-Brewer, who insisted the government was doing all that they could.

The pair sniped at each other before the conversation turned to children crossing the border between Ukraine and Poland alone and without their parents, who were relying on outside authorities to take care of their kids.

Nicola also shed some silent tears before the segment ended and Holly was seen with her head down and sobbing.

Holly later said that she couldn’t help feeling sad over the crisis in Ukraine, telling viewers: “It’s very hard not to feel anxious when you look at what is going on in the world, when you read the papers or switch on the TV.”
