THIS Morning fans are convinced that Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have secretly quit the show as they failed to return after the Christmas break.
The presenters did their last show on December 10 and viewers were expecting them to return today – but they were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary instead.
Taking to Twitter to question their whereabouts, those watching at home asked if they had left the show.
One person wrote: “Is it Friday or have Phil and Holly left the show without telling us?”
A second added: “Did Phil & Holly leave & forget to say goodbye? They’ve been off for ages #ThisMorning @thismorning.”
While a third wrote: “Have Phil and Holly retired? Man shrugging #Thismorning.”
Others couldn’t resist pointing out how much time off they get, with one person ranting: “Holly and Phil are still not back from their Xmas break. Must be nice to earn £350k and barely show up.”
“Bloody hell Holly and Phil work less than me and I’m long-term unemployed #thismorning,” added another.
The pair did appear in a festive special on Christmas Day, but he had been prerecorded.
During their time off they have been covered by Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson, as well as Alison and Dermot.
The presenting duo are gearing up for the return of Dancing On Ice, which will see them on TV every weekend as well as weekday.
