This Morning fans furious at show ‘rubbing their nose’ in holidays as Alison Hammond jets off to Madeira

THIS Morning fans were left fuming with jealousy today as Alison Hammond jetted off to Madeira – for just one night.

The presenter, 46, jumped on an early flight after Portugal opened its borders once again for a feature on the show – but those watching at home weren’t impressed as so many people aren’t in the financial position to do so.

Alison Hammond flew to Madeira this morning

Portugal is one of the few countries on the green list, meaning travellers don’t have to quarantine when they return home.

Alison made the journey this morning alongside some family members to show people what the journey was like and she nearly didn’t make it because she couldn’t find the QR code for her negative Covid test.

Taking to Twitter to discuss the segment, one person wrote: “@alisonhammond your paid millions there are many that “need” a holiday but can’t afford it #ThisMorning.”

Phillip and Holly were jealous back in the studio

Another person raged: “Hmmmm why is empty?? Maybe because not everyone can holiday right now! #ThisMorning.”

Someone else wrote: “Feels like they are rubbing our noses in it showing this #thismorning.”

Another person claimed: “Takes the p** that they’ve sent Alison, who refuses to have a vaccine or wear a mask, to Maderia for one night.   We all know what the sunshine and a swimming pool looks like.   #ThisMorning.”

These are the countries currently on the green list

It is not known if Alison has been vaccinated yet, but she previously admitted she was “hesitant” about having it.

As well as needing a negative PCR test to enter the country , visitors will needa negative test taken before returning to the UK and a PCR test on day two of your return.

A PCR tests cost on average £100, meaning travellers have to spend a fair bit of money before they even arrive on holiday.
