Tis Morning’s Gino D’Acampo finally returned to the ITV show today
The Italian chef was back on good form as he kicked off by making an X-rated joke with presenters Josie Gibson and Dermot O’Leary.
Host Josie told viewers: “Gino is back today, to not only cook but sing today. Good Morning Gino.”
He replied: “Bonjourno, thank you for having me here. It’s today’s Valentine’s – there are so many recipes I could do but I wanted to keep it simple and keep it light.
“I want to keep it delicate, not too expensive and with an explosion of flavours.
“Because the problem with Valentine’s, the biggest mistake that everybody makes is to spend too much time in the kitchen and very little time in the bedroom.”
His cheeky comment left the presenters stunned as they warned him to keep his humour clean.
He added: “The idea is to cook something great, don’t waste too much time, you know what you have to do on Valentine’s.”
Dermot joked: “Nice and light.”
Viewers were thrilled to have the famous chef back on their screens and returning with his usual cheeky humour.
One wrote: “Gino at it again with the filthy jokes, it didn’t take him long.”
Another posted: “Glad to have Gino back! It’s been too long.”
A third added: “Brilliant to see Gino on our screens, can always trust him to make inappropriate jokes.”
At the beginning of today’s show, host Josie Gibson told viewers: “We’ve got a very romantic morning for you.”
Co-host Dermot O’Leary said: “We’ve got one massive surprise, which could go so badly wrong.
“In just about 10 minutes one person in this restaurant, where is she Josie?”
Bristol presenter Josie said: “There they are, they’ve got no idea what’s going on,” to which Dermot interjected: “Well, he does, doesn’t he. She’s about to receive the proposal of a lifetime.”
The camera then panned to the couple sitting in the restaurant, Josie remarked: “He’s very relaxed considering he’s about to propose.”
TV chef and This Morning favourite Gino D’Acampo piped up: “What about if she’s going to say no live on television, you’ve completely messed up the show now.
“What about if she says ‘no, I don’t want to marry you’, that’s going to be embarrassing.”
Josie added: “Well we have say nobody text her and lets hope she hasn’t got her phone on her.
“It could be awkward, it could be romantic.”
Dermot joked: “It’s certainly going to be a bit of both,” as Gino teased: “It would be funny if she said no.”
Luckily an unexpected Ellen was overjoyed by the proposal and said yes straight away.
There was a very special Valentine’s Day special live on air today
