Dozens of viewers of the flagship ITV Daytime programme wrote to the official broadcast regulator Ofcom to complain.

Josie, 38, has been hosting This Morning this week alongside Craig Doyle instead of Alison and Dermot O’Leary.

Now thrilled fans think Josie and Craig should be the new Friday presenters.

“I think Josie and Craig have much better chemistry than Alison and Dermot!!”, said one.

Another added: “I actually sort of like these two presenting far better than the loud, crude Alison Hammond.”

Someone else added: “Ugh sick to death of Alison and Dermot, they act like fidgety, hyperactive children and are so unprofessional. Josie and Craig are so much better.”

A viewer said: “Love Josie and Craig on #ThisMorning such a breath of fresh air, and not annoying like Alison and Dermot.”

Another added: “Can you swap Josie for Alison she’s so much calmer and actually a better presenter.”

Holly Willoughby hosted the show with Alison recently who was standing in for Phillip Schofield.

The presenter took time out amid his brother Timothy’s sex case trial, which saw the 54-year-old convicted of 11 sexual offences involving a child over three years from October 2016, including two of sexual activity.

In the wake of the ruling, Phillip said in a statement: “As far as I’m concerned, I no longer have a brother.”

It’s believed Phillip will make his TV comeback on April 17.
