THIS Morning fans are thrilled as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield return to our screens as hosts after the summer break.
The dynamic duo will return to the This Morning sofa on Monday 6th September.
Over the summer, viewers have seen presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, along with Rochelle Humes, Andi Peters and Alison Hammond.
Dermot O’Leary will be retuning to host Fridays with the fabulous and funny Alison.
Talking about his return, Phillip told ITV: “It’s nice to have a bit of time off over the summer to catch up with friends and family and I love getting out in the garden and pouring a gin and tonic.
“But I love working so I never get holiday blues. I always look forward to getting back to a new series, I’m always happy to get back to work.”
Holly added: “Time with my family over the summer is the best, but I always look forward to seeing my second family back at This Morning.
“The return in September is always quite an exciting time to learn about what we’ve got coming up over the next year and it amazes me how the team always come up with new and fresh ideas every time.”
Meanwhile, This Morning currently has an impressive tally of 14 National Television Awards so far, and there’s every chance it could pick up another this year.
The show is once again nominated for Best Live Magazine Show, opposite fellow ITV programmes Loose Women and Good Morning Britain, as well as Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.
Phillip noted: “There are no stuffy panels, the great thing about the NTAs is that it’s voted for by people who have been with us all the way throughout the pandemic.
“I think this year more than ever it’ll mean a lot to the team, because it really was almost like a wartime spirit, that sort of hunkering down and a ‘we’ll be OK, we can get through this’ type of spirit.”
