THIS Morning’s stand-in host, Josie Gibson, 40, shared on her Instagram story that she had to make an unexpected dash to the hospital. She later hobbled into the studio after the show had already started. Josie had an accident while on holiday in Dubai with her six-year-old son, Reggie. Speaking to co-presenter Alison Hammond, she revealed that a vanity unit fell on her foot, resulting in a leg fracture.
Surprise on set
Wanting to make Josie feel comfortable, the This Morning team surprised her by bringing her onto the set in a decked-out mobility scooter with gold fringing, silver side panels, and a personalised 'Gibson' number plate.
Upcoming show
News of Josie's accident comes just before the launch of her new show, "Around the World in First Class," which premieres on Channel 5 on Friday, February 28, 2025. The series follows Josie as she travels in first-class luxury to destinations like Grenada, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates.

Talking about her new role, Josie expressed disbelief at the opportunity but eagerly embraced it, stating that her current life surpasses anything she could have imagined. She humorously added, "I don't even want to sugar coat it – I'm jealous of me."
