Meet Vivek Sharma
ITV has confirmed Vivek Sharma as the new editor of This Morning, taking over from former editor Martin Frizell who resigned after 10 years with the show. Vivek has been the associate editor of the channel's flagship daytime program for the past 15 months.

Expressing his excitement about the new role, Vivek Sharma shared, "Having grown up watching the show, it's an incredible privilege and honor to take on the role of editor of This Morning." He highlighted the show's 37-year legacy and the significant impact it has had on television viewers.
Changes on the Horizon
Martin Frizell decided to step down to dedicate more time to his wife, former GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2022. In a statement, Martin explained, "Next year I'm expecting my family priorities to change so I need to free up time for them."

With Martin's departure, This Morning is facing a potential overhaul. An insider revealed, "Huge changes are afoot. The show has never truly recovered from Holly and Phil's departure, and this is a chance to move on from the old guard and bring in fresh faces to detoxify the brand once and for all."
