Cain and Moira Dingle intercept Nate Robinson, convince he’s about to crash her wedding

1. Fan favourite keeps huge secret

Actress Amy Walsh has reprised her role in the ITV soap following the birth of her daughter Bonnie.

But viewers of the Yorkshire-based program have yet to discover how her on-screen alter ego Tracy Metcalfe will be returning to the eponymous Dales.

Tracy left the village in early 2022 for a job opportunity in Nottingham amid tensions with former fiancé Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carter).

Although Nate encouraged her to leave, he was distraught to say goodbye to their daughter Frankie.

Tracy then reappeared in Emmerdale for the show’s fiftieth anniversary but left after rekindling her romance with Nate.

The pair appeared to call it quits, particularly as Tracy was supposed to be engaged to another man, and Nate gave his relationship with Naomi Walters a chance.

But when Moira and Cain Dingle (respectively played by Natalie J Robb and Jeff Hordley) hear from village gossip Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) that Nate is heading to the town, they realise he may not have actually moved on.

Both Moira and Cain have recently been wondering if Nate could be hiding something as he was seen making mysterious phone calls.

The pair are fearful that Nate is about to do something stupid and fight for custody of Frankie.

Cain and Moira make the hasty decision to stop him in his tracks but, while on their way there, they spot Tracy in a wedding dress outside the Registry Office with an attractive man.

The penny drops for Cain and Moira as they reach the conclusion Nate is actually planning to crash Tracy’s wedding.

Cain decisively kidnaps Nate before he can go inside, knocking him out in the process.

Nate comes round in the van back in the village, aghast by what they have done.

But could Tracy be keeping a secret from everybody, including Nate?

Could there be more to her return?

This week, happy news reaches Home Farm after Caleb Milligan wreaked havoc.

Kim Tate (portrayed by Claire King) finds a pregnancy test in the bin.

The businesswoman is first dreading that Gabby (Rosie Bentham) could be pregnant as a result of her ill-fated relationship with Nicky Milligan but she quickly dismisses her suspicions.

Later, Dawn (Olivia Bromley) reveals she’s sickly and it becomes very clear who the test really belongs to.

Dawn’s husband Billy (Jay Kontzle) arrives and is overjoyed at the news that she is pregnant.

But happy moments rarely last in the eponymous village meaning trouble could be ahead for the young couple.

How will Clemmie and Lucas react to the news?

Will Dawn’s pregnancy go on without a problem?

Or could she be set for her own pregnancy heartbreak?

Dan lashes out to protect his daughter Aleia this week

3. Dan plots murderous revenge

After several months of intense struggle, particularly due to the fact she’s jumped head first into adulthood following the birth of her daughter Esther, Amelia (portrayed by Daisy Campbell) seemed to have found her calling online.

With Dan bending over backwards to put food on the table and a baby to take care of, Amelia decided it was time for her to pitch in.

She turned into an online influencer, posting several makeup tutorials in the hopes of getting some cash – and so far, her plan has worked.

But when Lloyd (Matt Sutton) unexpectedly showed up in the ITV village, Dan had to take action and issued the stranger with a chilling warning.

This week, however, Dan gets a massive shock although he was convinced he’d managed to successfully ward Lloyd off.

Amelia even confirmed she had blocked his number for good.

Coming up, a very serious PC Swirling arrives, telling Dan that Lloyd made a complaint about him after his threats from the day before.

Swirling warns Dan not to take the law into his own hands – but will he listen to the copper?

The following day, Dan lets Amelia know just how proud he is and she is happy her life is finally heading in the right direction.

Sadly, Dan’s warning seems to have had no effect as sinister Lloyd turns up at the church the next day.

Amelia is scared but Lloyd tries to explain his actions.

Soon, Dan’s good mood is disrupted when he sees Lloyd and Amelia together in the village.

Marching over from outside the garage to confront his daughter’s unapologetic stalker, Dan snaps and punches Lloyd.

With a fight about to break out in the Dales, and Lloyd determined to get close to Amelia, one could theorise that Dan may be tempted to get rid of the stranger.

But could he go as far as to kill him?

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
