Unexpected Experience on Winsanity
TikTok sensation Lexi Barraza recently shared a "mortifying" throwback video on social media, revealing how her appearance on the popular US game show Winsanity continues to haunt her years later. Lexi, who is a realtor from Las Vegas, competed on the show six years ago, but the experience was far from what she expected.
The Show and Its Objective
Winsanity, hosted by former Scrubs actor Donald Faison, was a Los Angeles-based game show that ran from 2016 to 2018. The premise of the show involved selecting a random contestant from the audience, who then had the opportunity to win prizes for themselves and other audience members. The objective was to arrange ten numerical facts in order, from highest to lowest, with each round increasing in difficulty.
A Surprising Turn of Events
Lexi had no prior knowledge that she would be appearing on the show that day. In her TikTok video, she expressed dissatisfaction with her appearance and admitted that the experience still haunts her. To add to her dismay, she did not perform well on the show and failed to win any of the $50,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
An Unexpected Question
In the throwback video, Lexi can be seen shaking her head as an audience member attempts to answer a question about American basketball player Charles Barkley's three-point shots. When the audience member incorrectly guessed that Barkley made less than 263 three-pointers throughout his career, Lexi indicated that the answer was incorrect. Another audience member then offered helpful advice, explaining that Barkley's 12+ year career with 30-40 three-pointers per year would result in a number above 263. Lexi followed this advice, believing she had answered correctly, but ultimately lost the game.
A Costly Loss
Regretful of her performance, Lexi wrote alongside her TikTok video, "I lost over $50k worth of prizes on a game show when I was 19. I'm still very upset." The experience on Winsanity continues to impact her years later.
Donald Faison, best known for his role as Dr. Christopher Turk on Scrubs, hosted the show.
