TIPPING Point viewers have claimed the show is a fix and have ‘proof’ that the machine favoured a contestant during last night’s show.
Wednesday night’s instalment of the ITV programme saw four new contestants try and win £10,000 by entering coins into the machine.
But since the game show hit our screens in 2012, fans have had their suspicions about if it is rigged.
Although it’s just pot luck how the machine works, viewers joke that there’s a magnet man who favours contestants.
And after last night’s show, they think they have proof he exists.
Lucy, Ethan, Catherine and Phil took on the machine, but it was Lucy, a carer from Swansea, who got off to a flying start.
She banked £1,050 and 21 counters in the first round, while Phil was eliminated after banking just £200.
Viewers were left convinced that Lucy’s success was all because of the magnet man.
One wrote on Twitter: “Lucy has paid off magnet man, I am sure of it. She wants Ben.”
Another said: “Looks like Magnet man is working overtime today.”
A third chimed in: “Magnet man denies Phil”
A fourth added: “Magnet Man is on fire today.”
“Proof there is a Magnet Man,” a fifth said.
Lucy’s success continued into the second round and managed to bag nine counters after answering one question correctly.
She made it all the way to the final round and went home with a whopping £2850.
But this isn’t the first time viewers has sparked a fix row on Tipping Point.
Back in September fans accused a player called Jill of failing to knock the jackpot counter off “on purpose”.
At the end of the show she tried to knock the £10,000 jackpot counter off.
Ben offered Jill to trade the £2,750 she’d accumulated for three final counters in a bid to knock the jackpot off.
And while the odds looked firmly stacked in her favour, Jill decided to keep the money – much to the surprise of Ben.
She said: “It depends where they’d land, Ben. And £2,750 is a very nice day out, it’s us off to Greece, so I’m gonna take the money.”
Despite taking her winnings, Ben made Jill put the three counters into the machine to see if she’d made the right call.
Although the first counter dropped it into the machine, the disc was “riding” on another, meaning it wouldn’t budge anything off the shelf.
The same time happened again with her third counter, meaning the jackpot counter stayed firmly on the shelf.
Ben confessed he would have taken the trade but congratulated Gill making the right call since two of the final three counters were “riders”.
In light of her loss, viewers at home accused the Tipping Point player of fixing the final round when she turned down the trade of three more counters from Ben on Twitter.
One penned: “Hard to win when you don’t know when to drop. #tippingpoint.”
“You got a lot of riders because you were pressing the buzzer too late,” another shared.
A third claimed: “Was she TRYING to make them ride?!” alongside a gif with the caption: “Not suspicious at all…”
“Jill shows exactly why she’d would never have won taking the trade…shocking timing!” another shared.
