Tipping Point viewers left ‘screaming at the telly’ and threatening to switch off over player’s ‘frustrating’ tactic

TIPPING Point viewers were left “screaming at the telly” over a contestant’s “frustrating” tactic on Tuesday’s episode.

Host Ben Shephard welcomed four more hopefuls including Diane who was hoping to win the total £10,000 jackpot.

The player made through to the final two alongside fellow contestant Ben, but fans were quick to point out her very last minute counter drop each time.

One viewer wrote: “If Diane gets to the final round with that crazy timing I’m switching off.”

Another posted: “God Diane’s timing gives me anxiety.”

A third echoed: “Her timing is going to give me an aneurysm.”

“Diane is frustrating me massively,” another commented.

One added: “Diane got me screaming at the tele!” as another viewer posted: “Her timing is bloody awful.”

Diane took home £1,300 while Ben beat her with £2,450, meaning she was knocked out in the penultimate round.

It comes after fans were left furious after an episode was ‘ruined’ by the winner being leaked before the game had finished.

The episode of the hit ITV quiz show saw Ruth, Roger, Claire and Alex take on the machine, with Ben once again asking the questions.

However, the episode was a repeat, and one mean-spirited viewer decided to ruin it for everyone else on Twitter.

They wrote: “Old episode Ruth wins sorry #TippingPoint.”

Their post left others raging, with one writing back: “Why would you do that and ruin it for the rest of us?”

Another tweeted: “Noooo it’s a repeat!! And why does it always start so early?”

The spoiler turned out to be correct, as Ruth knocked out her competitors one by one and made it to the final round.

Ruth, a regional administrator from London, had managed to get £3750 out of the machine.

When asked by Ben what she would spend the prize money on, she said she’d like to go on a dream trip to Alaska and pay for her daughter’s wedding.

Unfortunately, Ruth was unable to get the prize counter out of the machine, so failed to secure the £10,000 jackpot.

However, she won a more than respectable £4400 which would go someway to paying towards her plans.
