TIPPING Point host Ben Shephard was left cringing during yesterday’s show after one player’s “easy” fast food blunder gave their competitor the upper hand.
Monday’s episode of the ITV quiz show saw contestants Harry and Dave advance to the head-to-head round.

Harry blushed after he realised he made an obvious blunder during his US states question
However, Harry was stumped when the 47-year-old presenter asked him a question about names of states in the US which begin with the letter ‘k’.
Ben asked: “The only two American states to begin with the letter ‘k’ are Kansas and which other?”
Harry took his time to think about the answer.
“I feel like I should know this. I’ll have a think,” he said.
“Yeah, have a good think,” the presenter urged.
However, after a few more moments, Harry admitted defeat. “I’ll have to pass,” he told Ben.

The question was passed over to his opponent, Dave, who was quick to give his answer.
“Well, I lived in the US for a couple of years and I also do like my whiskey, so I’m going to go with Kentucky,” he said.
Of course, the answer was correct, and Ben cringed as he pointed it out to Harry.
“KFC. Should have got it, yeah,” the contestant conceded, blushing a little.
But Harry’s comment left Ben and Dave in fits of stitches.
Viewers at home even picked up on his fast food blunder.
Posting to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Think ‘Fried Chicken’, Harry.”
A second said: “Surprised he didn’t think ‘the chicken bloke’ and then said Nando’s.”
“#tippingpoint Did Harry go to school? Not knowing Kentucky pfft,” said another.
His blunder pushed him out of the running for a place in the final, as Dave knocked down an impressive 11 counters as a result of the steal.
This pushed Dave way ahead, giving him a clear run to the final. He’d amassed £3,700 in the cash pot and also had the chance to knock down the jackpot counter.

However, he failed to nab the jackpot and decided to stay safe with the cash, which he planned to use to take his family to Florida.
He explained: “Given that [the counter’s] not wanting to move forward and is tucked in under that black counter now, £3,700 is a lot of money, I think I’ll stay with the money.”
Tipping Point continues weekdays on ITV at 4pm.
